Since 1st March 2004, it has been mandatory on the Isle of Man to install residential and domestic sprinklers into certain buildings
Isle of Man Building Regulations 2003
In B7 of these regulations, sprinklers are required to be fitted in:-
- Multi-occupancy dwellings
- Buildings containing flats
- Buildings to be used for sheltered housinghospitals and nursing homes
- Schools Open-plan dwellings
- Other buildings with compartments over 5,000m3
